Why it matters

Logs often contain sensitive information: user emails, IP addresses, session tokens, personal data. When you need to share logs for debugging, you have two choices: redact them manually (slow and error-prone) or use an online tool (which uploads your logs to a third-party server).

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your logs never leave your machine, and the redaction happens locally.

Limitations

The regex engine is JavaScript's, so it supports the same syntax and limitations. Very large logs may be slow to process. The PII redaction uses pattern matching and may miss unusual formats.

No. Everything runs in your browser. Your logs are never sent to any server.
Can I search for multiple patterns?
No. This tool searches for one pattern at a time. For multiple searches, run the tool multiple times with different patterns.
